ABOUT FAIR ELECTIONS
BACK TO THE

Dear Fellow Citizen,

CitizenFundedElections.org was created in 2009 to provide citizens with an on-line resource to learn about the Fair Election Now Act (S. 752, H.R. 1826) and, through the "Fair Elections Scoreboard", to learn the positions of the various candidates for Congress regarding the Act.

Its predecessor web site, CleanElectionsPA.org, focusing on Pennsylvania candidates and their positions on publicly funded elections, began in 2005.  Since the general election of 2006, CleanElectionsPA has been reporting on Pennsylvania's congressional candidates' willingness to take the “Voters First Pledge" and collecting Pennsylvania's congressional incumbents' statements on publicly funded election campaigns.  The “Voters First Pledge", is a pledge by candidates to put the voters interests first, ahead of the special interests, by establishing a system of public funding for federal election campaigns.

For the 2010 election, the citizen volunteers of CitizenFundedElections.org are contacting candidates for the United States Senate and encouraging them to support the Fair Elections Now Act.  We are encouraging fellow citizens to urge all candidates for Congress (House and Senate) to announce their support for the Fair Elections Now Act on their web sites and we then provide a link to those statements from our Fair Elections Scoreboard.

We don't work for any group or party and we are not seeking contributions. We are volunteers. We want you, the citizen, to understand Fair Elections Now Act and to insist that your incumbent members of Congress co-sponsor it and pass it this year.
If there is any way that CitzenFundedElections.org can better serve you in this effort, or if you would like to work with us to push for the passage of the "Fair Elections Now Act", please let us know.

Sincerely,
